Sustainable transformation of a company (top management, other managers, employees, and all processes) means developing a sustainable business strategy and a sustainable logistics business model. A sustainable business strategy is a path from today's situation with gaps and weaknesses to sustainable and business success. In this way, logistics companies achieve an increase in environmental awareness and change certain business patterns, thus achieving the set goals of sustainable development. Therefore, in order to protect the environment and achieve a sustainable planet, new sustainable, business-technological models and concepts based on cleaner and greener technologies are being researched, promoted, and used. Accordingly, in the laboratory, we study the perspectives and potentials of alternative technologies and business technology models with the aim of their transformation into comprehensive and sustainable logistics business systems.

 

The aim of research in this field:

• examine and determine the basic methodological steps typical for the successful development of sustainable logistics strategies and concepts;

• identify and study the best practices of introducing sustainable concepts into modern business logistics systems through the introduction of green technologies;

• take snapshots of the state of business logistics environments and prepare proposals for the transformation of a logistics company by introducing green technologies;

• development of an upgraded theoretical model for sustainable planning of an urban mobility system based on multi-criteria decision models;

• development of new business sustainability models.
